One : Start up

Most of topics following these are of random order and style and so forth i have decided to number them instead of providing them a heading. Of late i have been wondering about, rather i have reached an age where one wonders about decisions of great importance. Growing up in India at least in the 90s era was more or less an experience which most youngsters consider medieval now and their response is more or less an indifferent shrug to our country's past. In leu of that I, like most of my friends and colleagues have often been plagued by questions regarding careers, relationships etc. to name a few.

Here I plan to express my views on each of these.

Relationships : As a young man in his tweens (i believe thats the term for a guy in his twenties) the first relationship that comes to mind is the most obvious one; that with a girl. Now in most cases i have often seen it starts from a purely superficial level (which is very normal; i mean u do need an initial marketing strategy) and goes on to an emotional level and final after a hiatus or so falls out in an abrupt manner. It is an interesting exercise because i think it mirrors more and more of what we ourselves want as we go through a bunch of them and therefore narrows our own perspectives down to what we want. However, on the negative side it also results in an increase in wants personally and of course disregard for the others feelings focusing more on one's own self. Relationships cannot be maintained that, for like any other commitment like society, civilization etc. the 'I' factor has to be ignored, it is the 'We' that counts, and yes contrary to popular belief it is compromise. It is interesting to note that all these factors are more often than not highlighted in spiritual/religious discussions but sadly due to their initial investment(i.e. a lot of time which we don't have) and long term return(i.e. the effects help u through life and happiness in the long run or the immediate effects are not that imminent) young people hardly indulge in them.In this time of instant gratification in terms of communication(internet), achieving sense of relief(drugs/ alcohol) or physical needs(sex) people ignore the simple bare fact that the truly beautiful and lovely things take time. Taking a leaf out of nature's book( no pun intended) evolution of the solar system, the earth, the animals, man etc. all have taken a lot of time to form. Even todays IT industry generating trillions of dollars a day relies on experience and time-tested attributes for generating faster and faster machines. Coming back to relationships, it is a matter of extreme patience which sadly is the only thing the youth lack. Youth is generous to the extreme at the same time it is vengeful, youth is vibrant, magnanimous, hard-working etc. but most of all youth is vulnerable. At the apex of our abilities we are also at the most vulnerable stage, and until we see the potential pitfall our hit-and-trial method of relationships continue to plague us and make us more demanding as we move on even generating after marriage affairs, for man is everything except satisfied with what he has.
